[[S.S. JERWAN]]

Not This Year, Says head of Moisant Aviation School.

S.S. Jerwan, head of the Moisant aviation school at Garden City, sees failure for Lieut. Porte. His opinion is: "There is a possibility of crossing the ocean in 1915. I have always thought so, but I don't believe it will be done this year.

"If the start is really made I believe the project will be defeated by the boat getting off its course. They will have instruments with them to guide them on the course, but that won't prevent it. Then there is fog and there are storms. The first requisite is a machine that will carry the load. In my opinion a land machine would be better. The only machine which could do it is the machine of the Russian, Sikorsky."
