Mr. Germain Seligmann
3 East 51st Street
New York, N. Y.

My dear Mr. Seligmann,

We have a call for a portrait of a young woman by Gilbert Stuart, and our customer is willing to pay around $4,000.00 for it. I thought that in looking over your stock you might find one that you would sell for that price, or you may know of someone who has a portrait of this type to sell. Of course, it must be recorded in Park's book on Gilbert Stuart. Would you kindly let me know as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for showing us the fine paintings in your Galleries, and I hope that you have received the Monet in perfect order, and that you will be able to give us more time on the one that we have now in our Gallery.

Sincerely yours,
