September 17, 1946

Dear Sir:

In answer to your letter of September 12, 1946, we hasten to let you know that we are interested mainly in paintings of the French school of the 19th and 20th centuries; also of the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries; and in paintings of the foreign schools of early periods.

We would be very thankful to you if you should be able to send us some photographs with dimensions, price, pedigree including bibliography, the exhibitions at which the painting has been shown, etc.

Looking forward to your answer,

Very truly yours,

(Georges E. Seligmann)
