Dear Mrs. Chadbourne,

Inasmuch as we have not had the pleasure of your visit to our gallery recently, it occurred to me that you would be interested to hear of some unusually fine drawings that we have on hand at the present time, and all priced with a realization of present market conditions.

Chief among these works is a remarkable drawing by FRAGONARD, the portrait of Benjamin Franklin, that was done in Paris in 1778, and was chosen by the Committee from the Louvre to figure in the Exhibition of French Art at Burlington House, London, last year.

In the field of 19th Century French drawings we have also on hand a most unusual and complete group of drawings by VAN GOGH that can certainly be considered among the outstanding works of this artist. Also we could show you works by CEZANNE, RENOIR and BERTHE MORISOT that we feel would be of prime interest to you.

In case you do not plan to come to New York in the near future, we would be very happy to send you photographs of the works in which you might be interested and should you care to see the originals we could also forward them without any responsibility on your part.

Trusting that I may have the pleasure of seeing you soon,

Please believe me

Yours respectfully,

(James St.L. O'Toole)
