November 13th, 1935.

Dear Mrs. Chadbourne,

It is a very long time since we have had the privilege of receiving your kind visit or hearing from you.

As I plan to go down to Washington very shortly, I thought of writing these lines to ask you if you would allow me to call at your house to pay my respects to you, and if you would also allow me to bring you some of the 19th century drawings which we have purchased this summer.

In view of the deep interest that you have always shown in these works of art, I feel quite sure that you would enjoy seeing them, and I would appreciate ever so much being able to see you again.

Hoping that you will favor me with your kind answer,

Believe me to be

Yours very respectfully,

(César M. de Hauke)
