Owns three or four Wyoming, Ohio [[underlined]] ROUAULTs, one of Telephone: Jack 7448 superb quality, a [[underlined]] MODIGLIANI "Kneeling Nude" which looks like a tempera painting - she calls it "The Shrimp", and thinks she bought it from the firm. Also has a few moderns unknown to me, very advanced; an excellent [[underlined]] BRAQUE, a second-class [[underlined]] PICASSO, etc. Mr. GEIER Adler says he is an amateur. CINCINNATI MUSEUM [[underlined]] Carlton Earle, Assistant Curator. The museum would like to buy: [[underlined]] HOGARTH, PETER LELY, HUDSON, FRENCH 16, 17, 18TH, EARLY ITALIAN, FLEMISH. They possess a [[underlined]] DIRK BOUTS. The president, [[underlined]] Charles Livingood, is very ill. CAREY S. LEYMAN I understand he is an important First National Bank of Cincinnati client of Newhouse. The outstanding picture is the small gouache by [[underlined]] PICASSO "Yellow Harlequin seated on a chair" which he bought from the firm. The second best is another [[underlined]] PICASSO "cubist", quite dark but quite powerful. He also has a few [[underlined]] ROUAULTs and some American living artists. In his father's house there is a [[underlined]] ROUAULT and a largish [[underlined]] RENOIR landscape about 40 x 50 cent. -1-
