Paris, September 8th 1931

Dear Mrs. Mc Mahon,

Pardon this most unusual delay in answering your letter to us dated May 28th, but I am sorry to say it was mislaid, and only recently on my return to Paris did it turn up again.

I am writing at this time to say that we would be very glad to lend our painting of a young girl with a tambourine by Judith Leyster to the proposed traveling exhibition of 17th century Dutch paintings.

We are very pleased to be able to lend you this painting particularly at Dr. Valentiner's suggestion.

I should very much appreciate the favor of an early reply regarding the time of this exhibition, and also the shipping and insurance, which I presume is taken care of by the College Art Association, as is usual in most cases of this kind.

You may write me care of our New York office, 3 East 51rst Street, as I am returning to America within a few weeks.

Thanking you, I remain,
Sincerely yours,

(Robert M. Levy).
