Dear

I have the honor on behalf of the College Art Association to invite you to become a member of the Committee for "French Day", February 7th at the International - 1933 Exhibition at Rockefeller Center.

As you may be aware, nearly each one of the countries represented in this exhibition will have one day devoted to it for the special national recognition. In view of the importance of the French contribution to this exhibition, France has been awarded the first of these national days, and we desire to make this occasion as auspicious as possible. His Excellency Ambassador Paul Claudel and Mme. Claudel will be the guests of honor and the occasion will be marked by a reception and by two brief talks. The complete program will be sent to you very shortly.

Knowing of your interest in French Art and your friendship for France, it is an additional pleasure for me to invite you to participate in this project for which I hope we may have your support.

Faithfully yours,
Eustache de Lorey
Chairman for the Committee

P.S. In view of the proximity of the French Day, we would be extremely grateful if you were to reply as soon as possible and, in the event that no reply should have reached us by Friday afternoon, we will take the liberty of telephoning you.
