My dear Mr.Germain,

At a little basement antique shop on 8th street, next door to a " Jumble shop" sign- between McDougal and Fifth Ave. - I saw a very unusual clock signed by FURET. It was made for Louis XVI. and came from a Russian Museum, having been a gift to the brother of the woman who runs the shop. She wants $2000.- for it. Because she seems to need the money, I am just aluding you this line hoping that it may be something that you would value. It stand about 24 in., is fine gold, has very exquisite detail, and of an unusual shape, being round with the face extending so (sketch).

I have been to the White Mts. N.H. for a visit, and just came home from the Berkshirs in Mass. The rest of the summer I shall spend in Maine and Nantucket with possible a motor trip in the N.Y.State Mts. In fact I'm beginning to feel very well. I've taken a studio apt. at 28 E. IIth St. from Oct. first, when I shall resume my professional activities. Having made a good beginning in the best of the Dean of Dortmouth College. I am naturally very happy - But I am just wild to go to Paris. I will save it till next year.

My best greetings to you and the other two cavaliers,

Cordially,

signed: Nancy Cox McCormack
