Dear Mr. Cukor:

It was indeed unfortunate, from my point of view anyway, that I did not get a chance to see you again but I understand, of course, how terribly busy you can be during the production of a Motion Picture, and particularly in your capacity as director, plus the problem of having to deal with Miss Garbo, must be an extremely preoccuping job.

However, your secretary informed me that you hoped to come to New York in a month or so. I do hope that you will look me up at that time, as I would like to continue our very brief discussion and, furthermore, if I remember correctly, you told me that you might be interested in acquiring a "Renoir." Aside from that, I would so much enjoy showing you some of our many 19th century paintings and I am sure you will find something here, to your liking.

In the meantime, all success to "Camille." I am sure that before the picture is even released, it will be an outstanding one.

With cordial greetings, believe me to be,

   Yours sincerely,

   (Robert M. Levy)
