There is also some log huts near the Outlaw place. Freedmen are living in some of them. When one is vacant, it is immediately destroyed by the doors and lining being stolen. I supposed for firewood. I cannot find out who does it. Some persons "Freedmen" often want to purchase them, for the purpose of moving them to places. When they procure lots, shall I sell any of those vacant ones that may be required? Please let me know by return mail there is a boat here for sale $75 cheap. Shall I purchase it, There is some ponies here for sale, no horses less than $200 of any worth. Shall I purchase ponies? The Doctor is a judge of horses- please direct me as to the shanty on Outlaw place, log huts, Boat and ponies.

Ponies extra reported at from $80 to $100. Query how about forage for private horses- can we draw it?
