April 3, 1868

Washington D.C.

Mr Perkins,-
I will paint the houses which you are now building on Capitol Hill for the Freedmens Bureau for the inside work with two coats of good paint, and the Fronts with one coat. The gutters & spouts also with one coat of paint for Fifty five dollars ($55). I also agree that the work shall be done in a workmanlike manner.

Yours Respectfully
