Dear Sir,
Mr. Cambridges Bill was sent in [[underlined]] long, long [[/underlined]] ago with almost no delay, and the time from that date to this has been consumed in the interchange of letters between Mr. Cambridge & me on our side & different agents of the Bureau on the other, both sides delaying their letters more or less, even as I have delayed this reply of mine (more than a month you notice) through press of other matters. I again enclosed a copy of Mr. Cambridges Bill. The Bill is for his Services at $3.00 per day (times actually) spent - sometimes so many hours of day & sometimes [[underlined]] so [[/underlined]] many - but altogether amounting up to the days specified in the Bill) as agreed upon between him & you. Mr. Cambridge has no other items to present, since all other expenses (rent excepted which has already been sent to you by the City authorities here
