There I met Emily Howel Warner -Frontier Captain and astraunat [astronaut] Wally Schirra and his mother, who was a wing walker during the barnstorming era.

All those about whom you wrote are now dead (me excepted) I believe. It must have been very difficult for you to gather all that information considering the poor way of news dissemination at that time

I am enjoying aviation vicariously now. A number of aviation groups have given me honorary life memberships and often take me to special affairs & dinners. When I travel the commercial lines, the captains & crews extend greetings and special niceties. I was permitted to fly the Spirit of St. Louis replica for twenty five (25) minutes while in this area.

Capt. Verne Jobst (one of the Spirit pilots) has asked me to take part in another tour next year in collaboration with the 99's. Paul Poberezny (president of Experimental Aviation Association) told me that they might have an Electra by that time that would substitute for the Spirit.

Thanks again,
Sincerely,
Neta Southern
