When Tom arrived on the scene, he asked with his usual curiousity and I impatiently answered with a very short and usual 'NO!

This time Ing grinned broadly.

"I see, he alla same China boy like me, huh?, he quipped

Soon after, Martin and I received an offer to be in a Meet to be held in Boston, Massachusettes. Martin, always in need of ready money to finance his plane building, thought it an excellent opportunity, and I, well, the excitement of flying at a Meet was too much to resist. So we suspended operations and I left for the East a few days earlier than he. Our plans were to meet in Boston. Martin had considered bringing his mother to the event.  They were going on straight through but I wanted to stop off and visit with some friends of mine who were coming down from Lincoln, Nebraska to meet me in Chicago.
