going to hear the minister speak of the President's death; he cocked a pistol, and burst the cap upon it at Joe's breast —

Yesterday morning, I went before Mr Louck got up and asked for my clothes which I brought with me — he refused to let me have them, and would not let me go in the house — he told me that I was not to go with the damned niggers in Jamestown for they were damned rascals — I want to be sent back to contraband camp."
