St. Louis is likely to be the scene o[[f]] interesting aeronautic experiments, th[[e]] members of the American Aero Clu[[b]] having under consideration the selection of that city as the place from which to start the aerial races which are to [[t]]his country what those from Paris are [[t]]o the old world. Doubtless St. Louis will regard this as a triumph over that [[w]]indy city, Chicago.

TO EXPLAIN RACE PLANS.
Frank S. Lahm Going to Europe in Interests of International Balloon Contest.
Mr. Frank S. Lahm, father of Lieutenant Frank P. Lahm, who won the international balloon cup for America last summer, arrived in New York yesterday from the West, where he was in conference with the Wright brothers, of Dayton, Ohio. He will sail for Europe next week to explain to the foreign aero clubs the perfected plans for the international cup race to be started from St. Louis next October.
In his honor a dinner will be given by the Aero Club of America, of which he is foreign representative, probably at the Hotel St. Regis. Mr. Lahm is much interested in the achievements of the Wright brothers in flying in a "heavier than air" machine. While in Dayton he talked with many witnesses of their flights and is prepared to vouch for their success to foreign investigators, many of whom are sceptical as to the right of the Dayton aeronauts to claim precedence over Santos-Dumont.
Mr. Maurice Farman, of Paris, one of the partners in the Palais de l'Automobile, who will arrive from abroad on Saturday, is one of the prominent aeronauts of Europe.
