Consists of Millionaires and Other Rich Business Men Who Have Banded Together to Guarantee the Success of the International Balloon Race to Be Held in October.

THREE hundred representative St. Louisans, many of them millionaires and nearly all men of wealth, [[?]] organized the

[con]veniently near a gas tank of the Laciede Gas Light Company.

They found St. Louis so far removed from mountains and all large bodies of water [[that it]] affords an ideal field for [of]fering an immense stretch 
[on] which the airships can [[?]] 
[[?]]y little danger. They also 
[[?]] the upper air currents of
[[?]] almost invariable from
[[?]]ortheast, so the 1,500 to 
[[?]] be traversed before the 
[[?]]ed, and without encoun-
[[?]]ountains.  Furthermore,
[[?]] St. Louis proved the best
[[?]] purposes that they had
[[?]] Under the supervision of 
[[?]] , Vice President of the 
[[?]]ight Company, the bal-
[[?]] which A.R. Hawley and 
[[?]] made a trial trip, was
