Copy. Quartermaster General's Office Washington D.C. June 23d 1866. Bvt. Maj. Gen. D.H. Rucker Chief Quartermaster Washington Depot. General: An application approved by the Seretary of War from the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen &c. that the following described buildings to the Government of Kendall Green Park may be turned over to that Bureau, viz: One Office, about 18x24 feet Store House about 18x24 feet Two open hay sheds and other small buildings used as sentry boxes, privies &c. with fences adjoining. having been referred to this office, you will please cause these buildings to be turned over as desired, if they remain unsold. Very Respectfully Your Obdt. Servt. By order of the Q.M. Genl. (sgd.) J.J. Dana Col. Q.M. D. Bvt. Brig. Gen. Chief Quartermaster's Office Depot of Washington June 26th 1866. True copy respectfully referred to Brevet Brig. General C.H. Thompkins. Q.M. with directions to transfer the buildings &c. named at once, and take receipts therefor.
