Dear Mr. Knabenshue:

The claim filled by the Interior Department to obtain your retirement with annuity under the provisions of sections 6 of the Act of May 29, 1930 has been rejected. 

You are advised that total disability for useful and efficient service within the meaning of the Retirement Act is not established, based on the findings made in the medical examination held February 7, 1946.

The Interior Department has thirty days in which to exercise the right to appeal and his been so advised. A copy of the letter to the department is inclosed for your information.
