UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR

NATIONAL PARK SERVICE

White Sands NATIONAL MONUMENT

Alamogordo, New Mexico

July 29, 1944

Treasurer of the United States,
Washington 25, D.C.

Sir:

Inclosed herewith Ret. Form 3136a November 1943, also my personal check for $400.00 to apply as partial payment on the total amount of $860.37.

My Son Glenn Knabenshue agreed to pay the total amount, but at this time he is able to send me only $400.00. However, he stated he will be able to send me the balance of $400.37 by January 1, 1945.

I trust that this arrangement will be satisfactory to the Treasury Department and the Civil Service Commission.

Since the application was made, I have transferred to the White Sands National Monument, Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Sincerely,

Roy Knabenshue
Alamogordo, New Mexico.
