ADDRESS REPLY TO AIRPORT DEPARTMENT

January 13, 1954.

Mr. Roy Knabenshue
4241 E. Live Oak [[strikethrough]] e [[/strikethrough]]
Arcadia, California

Dear Roy:

Ever since seeing you and Jane in New York at the Wings Club luncheon, I have expected to hear from you from Woodbridge. Didn't you visit Jane's sister, or was it too brief to call me. Sorry I missed you but hope you had an enjoyable trip anyway.

You may recall that Walt was to get a copy of the film which was taken in his shop. Sort of a return courtesy for turning over his house and shop for the purpose of making this picture. I have been bedeviling our picture people for months to get this copy for Walt and the other day, while I was in New York, they dug it up, couldn't find Walt's address, so it was sent to you. However, it really belongs to Walt. Of Course, copies can be made. This film was not used in the final version. A tremendous amount of cutting had to be done to condense the story to 1 1/2 hours.

Incidentally, we have a 16 m.m. copy of the complete film which I am sending out to Walt on a 30-day loan basis. I am sure you can make arrangements to get together for a viewing.

We are just digging out from under a bad snow and sleet storm. Temperature was eight degrees at my house this morning and is supposed to go below zero tonight. How I envy you guys out in Southern California!

Must sign off. A lot of Happy New Year's wishes to both you and Jane.

Let me hear from you once in awhile.

Sincerely,
L.L. Snow

P.S. I feel strongly that something should be done about the Hansen-Snow engine. It's a damn shame to let it sit around, rust and possibly get lost. You are the logical guy to do something about it as its last owner. Don't you think so?
