Mr.Harold Miller,
1820 Ruskin Road,
Dayton, Ohio.

Dear Mr.Miller:

I presume you know of my connection with the Wright Brothers and we doubtless met at the dinner given by Henry Ford at Dearborn Michigan, or perhaps in Dayton on one of my frequent visits to Orville's home.

It was a great disappointment to not be able to make the trip to Washington on Dec 17th, as I had intended seeing you and Mr.Harold Steeper at that time.

Orville expressed himself to me on several occasions to the effect that he was very much opposed to having a moving picture made of the story of the invention of the airplane. His chief objection was that the story would not be true, and that he did not trust any of the picture crowd.

It has been suggested a number of times that the story of my life be told in pictures. I have talked with several of the producers, but to date have not done anything about the matter.

Warner Brothers made the announcement that they would make the picture of the life of the Wright Brothers. Through various channels I ascertained that while they had bought the rights from Howard Mingos they did not think the story was strong enough to warrent making a picture.

A picture was made of Montgomery, pure rot, but it went over in a big way.

I believe a story can be written of my experiences and include my contact and business association with the Wright Brothers. This story would be held strictly to the truth and along lines that I know would be acceptable to Orville.

I would appreciate hearing from you in respect to the above subject.

Sincerely yours,
Roy Knabenshue,
