Mr. John D. Driskill,
National Park Service,
Manteo, No. Carolina.

Dear Dave:

After you left I called on Mr. Wirth and found him out of his office, and he has been away until this morning.

Mr. Kelley has sent in a letter asking to have you loaned to the Justice Department, and I believe you will hear direct concerning this matter.

Mac came into the office and I asked him about the altimeter and clock, he stated that there never was a clock in the front cockpit, but that he had removed the altimeter in oredr [[order]] to check the altitude throughout the return trip, and as he had it in his car he was able to return it to me. I am sending it to you by parcel post, and whenever you get orders to place your machine in storage with the other one, you will have an opportunity to install the altimeter where it belongs.

If on examination you find anything else missing, please let me know, and I will see what can be done about it.

We delivered the Stearman PT-9-B to Mr. E. R. Fryer, Supt. Navajo Indian Service, headquarters at Willow[[?]] Rock, Arizona, the delivery was made at Albuquerque, New Mexico, and was flown from there to Window Rock.

I would advise you to write him a letter for a job with the Indian Service, as I have already mentioned you to him, I believe you may receive a favorable reply. If you make to trip to El Paso, it would be an easy matter for them to pick you up and fly you back to Window Rock.

Keep me advised of any move you make.

Sincerely,
