WASHINGTON NOTE: The Washington legislation does not provide for any State aviation body. WEST VIRGINIA 1. TITLE -- WEST VIRGINIA BOARD OF AERONAUTICS. The West Virginia Board of Aeronautics consists of three members, appointed by the Governor for a period of 2 years (one of whom shall be the State road commissioner), and to serve without pay. State inspectors must have transport license, 1,000 hours of flying, and must have been a resident for at least one year. 2. POWERS AND DUTIES -- Broad powers and duties over aeronautical activities adopted from the Uniform State Aeronautical Regulatory Act. 3. FINANCE -- No special provisions made for financing. WISCONSIN NOTE: The Wisconsin legislation does not provide for a State aviation. The local legislative body of a city, village, county, or town may prescribe regulations for the operation, use and control of airports and landing fields, aircraft, aeronauts [sic], air traffic, and schools of aeronautic instruction, including licensing of such school, in conformity with the general regulatory legislation and provided some penalty is imposed for violation. WYOMING NOTE: The Wyoming legislation does not provide for any State aviation body. -20-
