TIDE TABLES AND CURRENT TABLES
Tide Tables and Current Tables are issued in advance annually and in addition to the predictions for every day of the year for important harbors, include differences by which similar predictions may be readily obtained for thousands of other places, as well as miscellaneous astronomical data.
The Tide Tables cover the predicted times and heights of high and low water, and include tables for obtaining the height of tide at any time, local civil time of sunrise and sunset, reduction of local civil to standard time, and moonrise and moonset.
The Current Tables cover the predicted time of slack and the times and velocities of strength of current, and include tables on duration of slack, coastal tidal currents, wind currents, combination of currents, and current diagrams of certain waterways.
