Bermuda and the West Indies, an airline ticket is issued to the Insured prior to his leaving the Point of Departure, or in accordance with Part F, and such airline ticket includes transportation for that portion of the trip during which such injuries are received.

(1) SCHEDULED AIRLINES—Injuries received while the Insured, as a passenger and not as a pilot or crew member, is riding in, or boarding or alighting from, an aircraft operated on a regular, special or chartered flight (a) by a scheduled airline of United States registry holding a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity issued by the Civil Aeronautics Board (or its successor) of the United States, (b) by the Pacific Southwest Airlines or (c) by a scheduled airline of foreign registry maintaining regular published schedules and licensed for transportation of passengers by the duly constituted governmental authority having jurisdiction over civil aviation in the country of registry of such airline. 
 
(2) OTHER SPECIFIED AIRCRAFT—Injuries received while the Insured, as a passenger and not as a pilot or crew member is riding in, or boarding or alighting from, an aircraft(other than an aircraft referred to in paragraph 1 above) provided primarily for passenger service by an airline or air carrier of United States registry which is licensed as a common carrier. In no event, however, will any coverage be provided for injuries specified in this paragraph 2 unless the initial flight made by the Insured from the Point of Departure is on  an aircraft specified in paragraph 1 above.

(3) SUBSTITUTE LAND OR WATER CONVEYANCES—Injuries received while riding as a passenger in any land or water conveyance provided at the expense of the airline or air carrier as a substitute for an aircraft on which the Insured is covered by this policy.

(4) AIRPORT BUS ANS LIMOUSINE SERVICE—Injuries received while riding as a passenger in an airport bus or limousine provided, or arranged for, by the airline, air carrier or airport authority, but only (a) when going to, or after being at, an airport for the purpose of boarding an aircraft on which the Insured is covered by this policy, or (b) when leaving an airport after alighting from such an aircraft.

(5) AIRPORT PREMISES—Injuries received while upon any airport premises designated for passenger use, but only when the Insured is upon such premises immediately before boarding, or immediately after alighting from, an aircraft on which the Insured is covered by this policy.

The phrase "aircraft on which the Insured is covered by this policy, "as used in paragraphs 3,4 and 5 above and in Part E, means an aircraft which this policy provides coverage on and which is used by the Insured in making the trip for which this policy is issued. However, if the trip for which this policy is issued is on e which has a Destination outside of the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, Bermuda and the West Indies, said phrase shall mean an aircraft which this policy provides coverage on and which an airline ticket issued to the Insured in accordance with the provisions of this policy entitles the Insured to ride in for the purpose of making the trip for which this policy is issued.  

PART B. POLICY PERIOD.
This insurance commences on Date and Time of Policy Purchase designated in the Schedule and terminates upon completion of the trip for which this policy is issued, but in no event shall this insurance remain in force for more than ninety days from Date and Time of Policy Purchase. 

PART C. BENEFITS FOR LOSS OF LIFE, LIMB OR SIGHT.
When injuries shall result in any of the following losses within one hundred days from the date of the accident, the Company will pay the applicable amount specified below; except that the amount payable for any such loss resulting from covered injuries received as specified in paragraph 2 of Part A shall be only fifty per cent of the applicable amount specified below:
Loss of Life or Both Feet or
Both Hands or Both Eyes.........The Principal Sum
Loss of One Hand and One Foot....The Principal Sum
Loss of One Hand and One Eye or
One Foot and One Eye.............The Principal Sum
Loss of One Hand or One Foot.....One-half Principal Sum
Loss of One Eye........One-fourth Principal Sum
Loss of hand or hands, or foot or feet, shall mean severance through or above the wrist joint or ankle joint, respectively. Loss of eye or eyes shall mean the total and irrecoverable loss of the entire sight thereof. In event the Insured suffers more than one of the above loses as a result of the same accident, benefits will be paid for only one of the loses(the loss for which the greatest benefit is provided). The benefit applicable to loss of (1) two limbs, (2) two eyes, and (3) one limb and one eye shall be payable only when such double loss occurs as the result of the same accident.
