In compliance with the request of Maj Genl O. O. Howard, Commissioner of Bureau of Refuge's, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, of June 25th to the Quartermaster General, I have the honor to inform you, that Five thousand (5000) Pay Transportation Orders of Series "F." running from 27,000 to 32,000 are ready for delivery to you at this Office.

It is important, that these Orders should, before any of them are issued, be stamped "Payable by the Freedmen's Bureau" as it is stated by Genl Howard, that they will be.

I enclose herewith blank receipt for the above orders, which please sign and return.
