Received from R.K. Hawley & Co under and subject to special agreement hereinafter expressed
2000 ft Lumber

to be forwarded to Trumans Point (loss or damage as hereinafter excepted,) to [[blank line]] he or they paying freight for the same. It, is however, distinctly understood, that delivery on such wharf or warehouse there as the said Company may use, for the time being, shall be considered a right and complete delivery, and fulfillment on the part of said Company of its duty under this agreement. And it is expressly agreed, that loss or damage by any weather, fire, leakage, breakage and dangers of the seas, are excepted.
