About two weeks since I was informed by the Asst Comr that a Cargo of lumber had been shipped from Bangor Me. and was directed to make the necessary preparations for receiving it.

I accordingly employed Mr. Fleetwood — who has formerly assisted me in tallying the lumber as piled — to aid me now.  he cannot however remain after the 30th inst. and I shall need the services of a competent man while the Vessels are being unloaded.
