February 6, 1933

Dear Ray:
Your favor of February 4th, with copy of Federal Tax return for year 1932. is acknowledged.

As stated at the time of letter in which copy was enclosed to you, that depreciation list was not at hand; but in my visit to Agents' home on Friday evening last, received this information; copy of which is inclosed. At this time I left copies of the returns for year of 1930-1931 (could not make claim for other years) at which time depreciation was not claimed. It might be arranged for a return for these years, which would amount to only $50.96, but, would also eliminate any claim for the $2400.00 deduction.

In regards to investment: Banks in Framingham, have not changed interest rates as yet; that is in Savings Departments: Framingham Trust, 4 1/2% Farmers & Mechanics Savings Bank 4 1/2 % Framingham National Bank 4%: Interest on checking accounts has already been reduced, also would state that Trust Company and National Bank have made their interest dates semiannually instead of quarterly, as before: Interest at National Bank was credited on February 4th, which date of interest is January 15thl next interest payment will be of July 15th. Con. Gas. closed at 52 today, my friend at Hornblowers, would not take G.T.C. order from me, some time ago, at the time you though 55 was good buy. I think he is too conservative, but, he has been pretty correct so far. Telephone closed at 98 7/8, do not know what First National closed at, but do notice that it does not change much. If it is a Massachusetts Corporation, and, if we could purchase under 50 net, think it might be fair investment; Telephone at 100 if it only paid 6% would also look good to me. This is one of the items we all have to agree on before any action is made.

The Piscitello property does not look so hot just now, but, if it came to a show-down, Abdelmaseh is not so bad, after repairs and improvements since fire it now had two apartments. Am sending notice of interest due from McCann. on interest due February 18th, amounting to $280.00 plus interest due August 18, 1932. $280.00 plus interest on same to amount of $9.80; total $579.80.

over.
