Dear Raymond:

I enclose usual monthly statement.

Only activity at present is at the Old Colony, in order to be able to take care of any beer priviledge. When, as and if? The old bar-room has been cleaned up, today the dinning room has been cleaned up: hope the dog odor will be entirely removed too.

You will notice on statement that we have withdrawn most of the funds for the account of a loan to the Town to expire on November 1st; which is the day taxes are payable. Interest at the National Bank was reduced to 3% from January, payable during July, this would net $60. for $4000: The same amount at 6% discounted amount is $140.00.

You will also find a receipt to sign, for the account of liquidation to amount of $150.00 each; this being made to cover agreement of $600. to Mother. Will not know intil next week, as to tax liability for 1931-1932. for her account; this has been arranged as liquidation to avoid taxation in either case. The agreement made after Estate, buy Trust is not considered as a gift, but, as a dividend to be paid at source. I hope to have the matter straightened by Wednesday next.

Have been to two funerals this week so far; both sudden deaths. Geo. Stevens. Drowned. Dr. Derby. Heart failure.

Will write when I have a bit of good news.

Best regards to all,

Your brother,
