Dear Ray:

I acknowledge your favor of June 5th; first, I will say a few words about National Ben Franklin Insurance Company: Your policy #X-173 was issued through Newark, N.J. office, for account of New England office, for my account; therefore some confusion. Made call at the N.E. office, yesterday: they stated the matter would be taken up with home office at once: However; the letter enclosed, with endorsement, will clear up the question, as, the endorsement is from the Newark Office. In regards to the Foster outfit, would state that, National Ben Franklin Company. pays from 25 to 30% on all policies; general agents' that this company is very prompt in payment of losses: Kendall Hotel two at cost of about $60.00 Abdelmaseh. about $3,000. Lewis and Fitts. (Trombly Building) about $48,000.

In regards to the market; have been advised to purchase United Corporation: Closed at [10|7]/8 Monday, 11 1/4 Tuesday, at which time order was placed for state for 100 at 10 1/2 G.T.C. was 12 at noon today. Lill. has 75 shares of this at average cost of $53.00. In regards to the thousand smackers of Esthers: She put in order to buy 25 shares of United Corp. at 10 1/2 on account of advice received, also, called up for advice: I couldn't tell anyone, whether or not; if stocks would go up or down, and told her so. I hope if, we get the bid, that all might make of money, but, with Lilly, Estate and Esther in, looks like we were all in one basket.

As to quiet place away from ocean, would suggest Duglas Hill. which is, as for as I know, on or near a lake in Maine. operated by Orville Dennison. If you wish will get a price list for you.

As to OCH. would state that man has been engaged to help, commencing yesterday, understand he is very good on salads and sandwich, but, Henry thinks, he has a real Irish heart, and would give much away, unless curbed. Henry had his former right hand man interviewed, but, found he would not be interested: cant blame him while the old "Battle Ax" is on the job as boss.
