Dear Billy:

Being still on the list of those who continue to support doctors my morale isn't any too good. I don't seem to be able to quit having to pay some doctor or other during all of these past years. I hope to goodness I can get a breathing spell some day.

No more flying as pilot for me--the ringing in my ears is just as bad as it was in June when I quit. The job situation is none too good because the company suggest i "look around" and I'll be damne d if I can figure it out. My disability is not a disease but surely it was cause d by the radio testing I've done for 5 years and the company evidently doesn't want to admit it but rather would have me clear out of the picture. Th' hell I will without a showdown of some kind. The local NY specialist whom the company sends me to, says I shouldn't have Dr. Tomb fix up my nose as it will not help so I'm not in position to go to Fra mingham as I figured. Well, if quitting flying will preserve what hearing I've got left then I'll be satisfied so long as they give me a square deal--what I count upon is an offer from them to transfer to another position within the company--probably the nigger in the wood pile will be a very minor jobe at a too-small salary. Have to wait and see.

Pete had to go through another seige to fix up the infection a boob let him into a couple of years ago. He is home again apparently on the mend.

Mother is figuring on leaving for Mass some time this week. She generally comes for a short stay and after liking it for several weeks or months gets fed up and hollers for some O'Brian to come and get her. We've been glad to have her and want her longer but her mind seems made up again. h She got a kick of sorts out of Archies' letter and said it r reminded her of Rosanns' idea that she herself was still coll-ecting funds from the Ashland house/ Poor misguided people.

Hope you can get it through their heads in Canada about the fund--maybe it's just too much to expect that they can understand. How much a week they are getting now--I8ve forgotten.

Good stuff on letting the Beer St. houses. Hope you can get someone for 74. Any more from the Centre people about buying? How's the time for 'em to speak if they believe in the coming inflation programme.

Enclosed is receipt for special agreement.
How is brother Henry making out?
Kindest regards to you all,
Your Brother
