National-BenFranklin Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa. ORGANIZED 1866 EASTERN DEPARTMENT NEWARK, N. J. WILLIAM E. BROOKS, Agent 2 Main Street FRAMINGHAM, MASS. Telephone Framingham 1248 NEAL BASSETT. PRESIDENT JOHN KAY. VICE-PRES.-TREASURER A. H. HASSINGER. VICE-PRESIDENT WELLS T. BASSETT. VICE-PRESIDENT November 16, 1933. Dear Raymond: Thanks for your answer to my letter of the second. Nothing active in Henrys' case as yet. I enclose insurance policy on your property; coverage of $9000.00 for five years from November 18, 1933. Thanks for the business. We have been able to close out the mortgage of Samuel Hill. amounting to $3,000.00, which we have exchanged for a like amount in Co-operative Bank. shares, as follows: Henry Wilson of Natick, $2000.00 Framingham Co-operative, $1000.00: The big question is for a split; for instance, our shares would be $750.00 each, with Henry getting a credit on notes for the same amount; these shares are in $200.00 amounts, which makes another worry, but with interest, which will be payable tomorrow, amounting to $121.88, with a bit more added, would allow a distrubition [distribution] of $3200.00 or $800.00 each; this would mean either to hold the Co-op shares in the trust and pay cash, or split the shares in units of $200. to make the $800.00; Henry's amount to be held, to amount equal to others, as a credit. While the mortgage is not yet discharged, which I expect to do tomorrow morning, after payment of interest; would state that I have the Co-operative bank shares, endorsed in blank, which will be held, as is, until I get some dope from you. I figure this as liquid. As to the stocks, would say I figure that I am in such a posit-ion, that I should wait for the rest to tell me what to buy; as it is now, even if I were on top of the exchange and bought something without permission, the same going down, instead of up: "What the 'ell". With this inflation controversy going on, who knows-------do any of us? Best regards to all, Your brother, Bill.
