Dear Raymond:

This letter is to be short; but, possibly sweet.

You asked for a couple of humdred if Hen paid up; didnot get any from him, but, have been working on Howard for some time on a promise: One hundred to you and myself, credit on loans to Lilly and Henry for same amount; the two hundred going into the cash account. If I had this amount last week think I might be at Atlantic City now: Maybe Thursday and Friday.

You ask about the cost of the shindig: No doubt it cost pleanty, but, I wonder who is really paying the bill?

We had the same smile ourselves, in regards to the placing of relatives at the wedding:"A'la Emely Post."

We think we will pull a fast on on next Sunday. Instead of sending the usual flowers, will go down to 80 Pearl Street, about 11 AM, at which time we intend to draw Mother out of the kitchen, at which time we intend to take her to The Layfayette, in Boston, at which place think she might enjoy it for awhile at least: You are greeted at the door and when waited on, with" Parley Vous. etc." This will be some change from looking after the dinner for O'Brien.- O'Brien.-O8'Brien-O8'Brien Etc.

Best regards to all,

Your brother,

Bill,

Sent Mc Cann a sassy letter today. $50. Received yesterday
