Dear Bill:
Send more letters like the last and I'll kiss your foot.... You bet it was sweet to get even a little onekk at the right time! Enclosed is receipt for the $100 account liquidation or $400 principal from the Howard loan.

Hope Henries United Aircraft hops the 1ΒΌ points in a day or two to make the next ante come through. That is still the understanding isn't it?

Do you see now what I mean that Henry is favored or in other words we are holding the bag for him to make a profit on stocks using our money-your , mine and Lills? all, the rising market and the threat of inflation carried by the Bonus bill makes my point clear I hope. Since I haven't got the thousand or so that is my share of what Henry owes, I can't buy(or didn't buy) the stock I would if i could have. Meanwhile inflation takes hold and common stocks go up. I have no profit to show. BUT Henry and all these mortgages prvent us from using our money as we would want to, while they are in position to gain and then pay us back at a later date in baloney dollars that will not buy as much as the dollars we had and have out now on notes and loans etc. That is what gets my goat in Henries case because we know he has put up stocks as collateral at times. Why in hell should we let him use our money to make money for him and then have him pay us back after there is no more opportunity for us to invest at the right time--which we would most certainly do right now if we had the cash instead of the promise....

Good for you on the plan for mother for today. I hope it worked out according to your plan. We stick to the old story of wiring flowers--don't know if that is as good?

Hornblower has put out a letter on common stocks vs. bonds etc according to todays aper. Get a copy and see if we ought to put out another three or four thousand. Wish we could get McCann, Howard, Calvin et al to transfer to the Trust to and liquidate at least part of the proceeds before it is to late.....

Best.....
Your brother,
Roy
