Dear Billy:

If that birthday of Aunt Sarahs had only been on a weekend like this one whee I have no work from Thursday to Monday it would have been jake to see you for a long wanted talk. Nuts to driving up for a party one night and back the next day though!

Mother still looks like the deuce to me. It was a surprise when she popped in with the folks but a trip as tiring as that one was is still bad for here and she ought to take it easier. I'm afriad the OBriens are still getting all they can out of her and not making her rest as she should. Damn it! everybody ought to see to it that see slows up from working. She is failing and that ought to be evident to even the selfish [[??]] at Pearl St. Mother herself never said a word about Helen coming home to roost nor about the baby but it must get on her nerves in more ways tha one. The word from you about the two parlor athltetes and not cutting the tiny lawn still makes me see red and want to kick their lazy asses.

Glad to see McCann kick in with a little dough. All of us are getting nice things for that family at our expense via the stall route. Wish we could chuck these damned mortggges. We're holding the bag that is all......

Hope that United Aircraft hits 15 1/4 so I can get a few needed dollars.

That latest NOTE of Henrys had me blinking when I read it on the statement. I am going to take you at the most literal interpretation of your writing that he is "going to pay off $400 each month after June". Or else I am going to kick over the whoofle tree or something. Well, it comes down to this -- that I herewith now formally protest to both you and Henry to quit the continuation of any further NOTES BOROWINGS ETC. Too long has that gone on so that it is rank favoritism on one hand and lack of good Trustee judgment on the other. For long now we have had no return on the Old Colony and it is time to call a DEFINITE HALT. So let's see if there is good fait on Henry's part now or will we have to take action......

Here is the Hornblower article back. It says what I've said all along in letters to you. And I still wish we had our mortgage money in common stocks instead of baloney dollars to look forward to when and if the headache from the present governmental orgy of spending begins.

Best to yuh.
Your brother,
Ray
