Speaker 1: Really got country music going. The last session they did as the Skillet Lickers was 1934, and a couple of the other fiddlers had dropped out, and Gid Tanner recruited his seventeen-year-old son, who had been playing the fiddle for a few years, Gordon Tanner, to lead the Skillet Lickers in the recording session out in Texas. Much to his surprise, he thought he was just going out to help with the driving. That session they recorded some classics like Down Yonder, Back-Up and Push, The Soldiers Joy. We have Gordon Tanner here with us this afternoon. We're very proud to have Gordon, his son Phil Tanner, and they're gonna play some of that old Skillet Licker Music for you. Let's hear that.
