Dear Brooksey,
How goes the battle down Texas way now? Are you any nearer your M.A & Majority than the B.B & Sis to the price of an Avro and speaking of Avros have you seen the latest price on them - $3,000 F.O.B. New York. These are machines just as they arrived from England and it will require some additional work say $300 or $400 to put them in ship shape order. Even if we are slow in getting started we are never the less in a pile of money due to happenings beyond our foresight. Every thing is pretty dead here in Framingham. twas ever thus.
Well, Brooksey, we are going to fight this proposition out if it takes all summer.
Keep your tail up. write soon./ Smithey just received news he is to receive a pension from King George. They are giving him nearly $200 now and more to come, pretty soft!
Yours - Banksey
