I gave them a price of $100.00 for them. Now they ask for another one towards evening. I quoted a price of $150-175 for the two, giving them every thing an Avro can do with safety.

About a week ago I brought the Avro over from Weston for passenger carrying work. There was a short circuit some place in her. On my 3d attempt I left the ground at Weston. Could not start her at Framingham. Same cause. Finally started up and had Robt. Mayall, photographer, with me in rear seat. Up 40 feet and she cut out dead. Forced landed ok. Changed magnets and took off alone next A.M. Up 400 Ft and petrol [[strikethrough]] tak [[/strikethrough]] tank burst. Forced landing on field o.k. Took Avro home and since then their pilot Rankin refuses to fly the machine [[strikethrough]] fom [[/strikethrough]] from the Weston field.

They the international we received a 3d Avro from New York, they had a forced landing at Wansocket
