Dear Mr. Dale:

A week or so ago I received a letter from a mutual friend of ours, Mr. C. S. Miller, telling me that he had spoken to you about a very fine group of 18th Century English Paintings, belonging to a client of ours, which we have for sale.

He told me that you would possibly come in to see them and as we have not had the pleasure of your visit, I am taking the liberty of writing you these few lines to ask you when it would be convenient for you to call in here.

In the meanwhile believe me to be,

Yours sincerely,

(Clyfford Trevor)
