Paris, le 20 Septembre 1933

Dear Mrs Dale,

We have just been approached by the Société Auxiliaire des Expositions du Palais des Beaux Arts, of Brussels, to loan our "grand Nu couché" by Modigliani to the important exhibition which is taking place there in November.

I am happy to say that I have agreed to lend this fine painting.

I note with pleasure that you are acting in official capacity in this exhibition, and have been further informed by Mr. Robert Giron, secretary, that you are taking care of the assemblage of the pictures in America to be shipped directly to Brussels. I am therefore writing this day to our New York office instructing them to get in touch with you directly regarding our painting, or with Davies Turner & Co, your shippers, so that the picture may be sent to them or called for at the proper time.

The exhibition will be, I am sure, of the highest order, and I am only too glad to co-operate in any way possible.

I look forward to seeing you on my return in New York in the near future, and asking you to kindly remember me to Mr. Dale,

I am,
Very sincerely yours,

(Germain Seligmann).
