Dear John:

I am so happy for you and Isabel [[?]] It must be great funmto have the time off, to be comparatively free of domestic responsabilities, and most of all to be digging with the hope of uncovering all sorts of forgotten and interesting material.

And that Cuzcain ( should I confess I had to look that one up in both dictionary and atlas) exhibition - where will it be shown ? Syracuse University no doubt and elsewhere too?

The New York season has not thus far been outstandingly brilliant as a whole. The unusual shows have been the " Seventeenth Century French Paintings" organized by Mr. Seligman, a travellingg " True or False" exhibition brought from Europe by the Corning Glass Co., - a Van Gogh show held in St. Louis & Philadelphia - it did not come to New York so I did not see it.

Marthon spent six months of last year going back and forth between Iran and Japan and at present is on a ship going to India. There are time when I feel like too much of a stay-at-home and make grand resolutions, always for some coming year.

I'd love to have an evening with you when you are on your way back... bh but you'll have to plan for a New York stay-over as otherwise fear that after the long trip North you will be tempted to reach Syracuse and home as quickly as possible.

Congratulations on all you are accomplishing painting, sculpture, books on "Physics Appreciation".

Mr. Seligman sends his best wishes as would Marthon, were he here. As for me, please remember I'll be look forward to an evening with you both in New York and if you will promise to eat my cooking I'll try to cook!

Sincerely,

Mrs. T.D. Parker.
