October 9th., 1934

My dear Mr. Dehner:

Your letter of October 3rd., reached me yesterday, and in the meantime I had received the water-colors from the Mohr Gallery. The five which you designated as being for the Midtown Gallery were delivered to them yesterday.

All of them are very nicely framed and matted - I of course did not know that you had not seen them exactly as they were when received by us. Mr. Germain Séligmann has not yet returned from Paris, and consequently has not seen your water-colors. I will write you regarding his opinion when he will have had an opportunity to look at them.

As regards expenses in connection with packing and shipping, I have taken this matter up with our Bookkeeping Department and it is agreed that they will send you quarterly invoices for such disbursements. Where it is simply a question of delivering a few pictures in New York City we will, of course, be able to handle them ourselves, but where shipments have to be made out of town, and for one reason or another we can't attend to the packing ourselves, we will call upon the services of Budworth, as you authorize us to do.

Thanking you for your letter, and trusting that we may have some good news for you from time to time,

Yours very truly,

Department of Contemporary American Art.

P.S. I am returning herewith the invoice which you enclosed in your letter, from the Babcock Galleries.
