ACTING AS AGENTS FOR THE ESTATE OF CLARENCE H. MACKAY

January 15th., 1941.

Dear Mr. de Schulthess:

I thank you for your letter of January 15th., and take pleasure in enclosing herein two invoices covering the purchases made by your father.

As soon as you will have heard that the transfer of funds has actually been made to the Irving Trust Co., will you send these invoices back to me so that I may have them receipted by the Executers who will return them directly to you.

Now I understand that contrary to what you wrote to me, you want the suit of armor as well as the smaller items shipped to you. May I ask, before proceeding, whether you want the suit shipped to you on its stand - as it is - or dismantled with the various parts of the armor packed in a case? The latter would, of course, have the greater advantage of costing less as regards shipping, and would require great deal less room.

I cannot tell you exactly what the cost of transportation will be. However, should you want the suit of armor as it is now on its mannikin and base, I feel that the best and safest way would be to send it up by truck, as we have done in other instances, and this would be - I understand - less than $55 (the same truck would, of course, take the smaller items).

I trust that you would take care of the insurance. I, from any side, would gladly take care of the packing and shipping expense, for which I would bill you in due course.
