Dear Mr. Seligmann:

I'm very sorry to be so late in getting this material off to you but the summer has been busier than I expected. In the midst of it all I had to go down to Virginia for a rest - and the hardest thing I ever did was to tear myself away from that beautiful country and come back!

But here I am anyway and working hard on the profile. There's about a month's work of writing so I am going to go ahead with it while you ok this material. If I don't hear from you by September 10 (I'm going back to Virginia and will return by then) I shall shoot my story into the New Yorker.

I've got to go up to the Bennington dance shindig and the Berkshire festival so I think it would be better for you to send any letters to News Week where they will be held. Hope you're having a pleasant summer climbing mountains and chasing offspring of the elusive muse.

Sincerely,

Natalie Saunders.
