Mr. Germaine Seligmann
9, Rue de la Paix
Paris, France

Dear Mr. Seligmann:

It seems a very sad day when I find myself so busy that I haven't even time to sit down and write a nice long cheerful note that might lean to the funny side of New York, but such is the case. I shall briefly outline a few of the principal things that are happening with your winter sports hobby.

Thereafter had a conference with Starke of Universal, presented to him a preliminary outline to which he suggested some additions and changes. Saw Mr. Robbins yesterday morning and drew up a corporation set-up along the lines suggested by him. We expect to see the Lehigh Cement Company this week, as Mr. Robbins agrees that it would be advisable to see what type of offer they might make for the same deal. So much for Steel.

Worlds Fair: SPoke to Mr. Chadbourne yesterday morning. Mr Chadbourne for a change (from your experience) seems to be actively interested in putting this across for us. That's all on the Chadbourne matter. Re your letter to Mr Barr, it was presented by Mr Scarlett to his secretary, who said that Mr Barr would be back in America in August. She went over Mr Scarlett's idea in full with him and informed Mr Scarlett that he has exactly the type of plan that they had been groping for for a long while and that she was quite sure that Mr Barr would be tremendously interested in it and would take up the matter as soon as he came back to America. Further than that, she thought that in the meantime she would see what could be done to keep Mr
