Mr Louis Barnet 3.

Mr GINSBURG took us through his entire department and the general conclusion that was arrived at is that something can be done in every field.

The first particular problem that was tackled was that of the bathroom scale. This not only fit in with Mr Ginsburg's need but also with Mr Lyon of AMC. Mr Ginsburg has been shown twelve (12) designs for this item and we have arrived at a basis upon which to go further. At the present time we are awaiting the reaction of the buyers at their meeting this week at AMC and as soon as we have been informed of this we are to make up models. Outside of AMC, however, we have tackled the problem of the bathroom scale for Mr Ginsburg in which a measuring device is incorporated and think we have arrived at a solution as per Mr Ginsburg's conception. This, too, will be made in model form.

The problem of major appliances has also been taken up. We have submitted four (4) ideas for refrigerators and five (5) designs for kitchen ranges. These were submitted at a time when Mr Edelmuth of AMC was showing Mr Ginsburg the details of their new stove. This made us realize that the time was inopportune and also that these larger problems should be taken up with AMC through Mr Ginsburg, and we will be guided accordingly.

Mr Ginsburg's department is a field in which, undoubtedly, a tremendous amount of work can be done, and will require a great deal of time to do it. We believe that almost everything in this department not only can be improved in design but the development of ideas is limitless. We are constantly working on this and will have many more things to present shortly. A few things have been undertaken thus far.

We have submitted nine (9) clothes hampers embodying new compartment divisions as well as other features. Two (2) of these are being made in model form.

Eight (8) sets of kitchen furniture also have been presented. The first reaction was that there was too great a departure from the present market. However, we have worked out a compromise and small models are being constructed.

Although the toilet bottle sets are in a rather disorganized field and not too important, we have submitted eight (8) ideas on these but have temporarily held this up. We will shortly suggest new decorations for stock bottles.
