Page two --- October 22, 1937 --- Hugh Dillman

delightful return for Clifton.

Things are very quiet here. The weather has been miserable beyond anything I have ever experienced this time of the year in Florida. Only last night it broke and today is the first day since I have been here that it hasn't rained and today is one of those marvelous days that you find no place else but in Florida. I spent most of my time killing mosquitos but hope from now on to find some other diversion. If it proves to be an interesting one, I'll let you know.

Hastily but Fondly,

Dear Hans

A new gal at the machine - I hate to dictate a letter to you but knew it was the one way to get me off at once.
